President’s Message

Greetings,

Thank you for the opportunity to serve as an officer on the component level of ADHA. I am humbled by your trust and support.

As a graduate of New York City Community College, I’m currently practicing dental hygiene in a periodontal practice. I am a mother and a grandmother.

This year begins a new term for our Association.  As you notice, our local component, New York City Dental Hygienists’ Association and state component, New York Dental Hygienists’ Association names have changed.

Highlights of my term will be to:

1. Increase membership by:

a) Enrolling more NYC dental hygienists in ADHA

b) Enrolling more dental hygiene graduates to partake in our professional organization

2. Spread the word about collateral practice concepts and awareness, by visiting nursing homes in NYC.

We invite members to become more active in our organization on all fronts.

We continue to offer CEU’s at Greater New York Dental Meeting in November 2019, as well as offering free CEU’s at our general meeting on October 10, 2019. Time will be announced online at nycdha.org.

Please invite your dental hygiene friends who are not active members to join. You may renew or join online at adha.org.

Thank you,

Vermell Ford, RDH, BS
