Dr. Flamer-Caldera is Past President of New York State Academy of General Dentistry.

She is an international speaker who has practiced dentistry for over 30 years. As a fellow of the American College of Dentists and the International College of Dental Facial Esthetics, Dr. Flamer-Caldera is an active leader in organized dentistry. She is Chairperson of the Organization Committee of Greater New York Dental Meeting.

New York CE Requirements:

  • Mandatory Continuing Education: New York State’s Mandatory Continuing Education Law for the dental profession became effective in January 1997. Practicing hygienists in New York State are required to take 24 credit hours every three years
  • Registered Dental Hygienists – 24 CE’s for relicensure. 10 CE’s can be home-study.
  • Hygienists are required to complete a course in Infection Control.
  • Licenses must be renewed every 3 years.
